We are delighted to share a recent profile of our Partner, Allan Dowie, who featured in the latest magazine from leading private equity publication, The Drawdown.
Please see below excerpt from the interview below.
‘The Drawdown caught up with partner and CFO of new firm N4 Partners, Allan Dowie, who discusses setting up the firm during lockdown, implementing a new valuation process and information flows.
The Drawdown (TDD): N4 Partners is a new firm; how is it set up and what’s your role?
Allan Dowie (AD): Our team is made up of four partners, which is how our name – N4 Partners – the power of 4 came about. There are ten of us in total, including the investment and finance.
I’m a Partner and CFO, my role has two aspects, firstly internally the day-to-day running of N4 from a financial and governance perspective, as well as for the portfolio. For the GP, I oversee the fund management, including the valuation process and associated communications to our investors.
Secondly, working operationally with the portfolio on strategy for growth and this is by collaborating with the management teams and ultimately looking to exit. While I come with a financial background, I work across all aspects of our portfolio and for two of the businesses I’m currently acting as interim CEO for one and Chairperson for the other.’
